Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

How is the fit?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also look great.
